We have recently conducted staff training at Craigdon mountain sports in order to bring the sales team up to speed with the needs of Bronze candidates. We have also agreed a 15% discount scheme and will issue cards at the lunch time sessions. There are plenty of outdoor shops in Aberdeen and of course online. All I would say is that unless you know exactly what your after you could end up with the wrong gear. We are going to be on mountains and camping above 300m so we must have everyone with good quality waterproofs with a hood and proper walking boots.
The lunch time sessions have begun at Robert Gordon’s with myself and Craigdon staff running a practical session with lots of examples of what works and what doesn’t.
I’ve also run an evening session at St Margaret’s for students and parents.
