The Red House

A traditional 170-year-old granite cottage, the Red House was originally the home of the Blacksmith. The cottage has been extended and renovated sympathetically and thoughtfully to a high standard. The Red House sleeps 8+ 1 + baby.

Ground Floor: - entrance porch, large family dining kitchen with oil fired Rayburn cooker, sun lounge with French windows opening on to patio area and secluded south facing garden, bedroom 1 with twin beds and futon, shower room and toilet, utility room (wet entrance) with washing machine and drying pulley, family bathroom, family lounge with exposed granite wall, wood burning stove and stunning views.

First Floor: - bedroom with full sized pine bunk beds and single futon, bedroom with King size bed, bedroom with twin beds , light and airy landing area. Cot available.
The front of the house has a traditional covered way joining both entrances, which is paved in Caithness Slate. From here you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the Ladder Hills. To the rear of the house there is a large garden, which is safe for unattended children. There are drying lines in the back garden.
